Strength-Based Leadership Fundamentals

My Strength-Based Leadership Fundamentals workshop gives leaders a solid foundation for understanding and applying a strengths-based approach in daily practice. Using my SELF (Strength-Based Ecological Leadership) Framework as a guide, I help participants name their individual strengths, recognize how those strengths show up in different environments, and connect them to current leadership responsibilities.

The workshop is highly interactive. Participants engage in guided reflection, small-group dialogue, and practical activities that surface how they naturally think, relate, and make decisions. I introduce a simple, research-informed structure for noticing strengths in oneself and others, then invite leaders to apply that lens to real scenarios from their work. We discuss how to use strengths when managing change, supporting team members, and navigating constraints. Throughout the session, I emphasize everyday application rather than abstract labels. Leaders practice giving strengths-focused feedback, framing goals through strengths, and designing small shifts in their routines - such as meeting structures or supervision conversations - that make better use of what they and their teams do well. The workshop can stand alone or connect with deeper offerings, such as Leadership Growth Labs or strengths-focused consulting.

Participants leave with increased confidence in their leadership identity, a shared language they can bring back to colleagues, and concrete tools for aligning their strengths with the needs of their role and organization. This workshop is well-suited for emerging leaders, new supervisors, and seasoned leaders who want to refresh their approach through a strengths-based lens.
