My Reflective Leadership Talks are designed for leaders who are ready to pause, examine their patterns, and make more thoughtful decisions in complex environments. Drawing on research in reflective practice, adult learning, and ecological leadership, I guide audiences through practical ways to slow down their thinking without losing momentum in their work.
In these talks, I introduce accessible reflection tools that fit into real schedules: brief after-action conversations, guided journaling prompts, and structured questions for one-on-one check-ins. I share stories from my own leadership journey across early childhood programs, higher education, and organizational consulting to illustrate how reflection can surface blind spots, strengthen judgment, and reduce reactivity. Leaders see how reflective habits improve not only their decision-making, but also their relationships with staff, families, and partners. The format is engaging and invitational rather than confessional. I never ask participants to share more than they wish, yet I create space for honest insight and meaningful dialogue. Organizers often pair this keynote with a follow-up workshop on Reflective Leadership Practices or with leadership labs, so participants can continue practicing the strategies introduced.
Participants leave with a grounded understanding of why reflection matters, especially in times of change, and with concrete practices they can adopt immediately. The result is a stronger sense of self-awareness, more intentional responses to challenging situations, and leadership that feels aligned with personal values as well as organizational goals.
